San Vitale is one of the most famous Byzantine style churches located in Ravenna, Italy. San Vitale is well viewed as the most famous church of Ravenna and includes beautiful examples of Byzantine art and architecture. This website is intended to be a multi-part analysis of San Vitale, including the history, purpose, artistry, and iconography.
